In my last post, I talked about how my family is scaling back for Christmas this year and why. As I mentioned then, over the next few weeks I plan to do a series of “Under $25 Gift Guides”. Today’s list is especially for the coffee lover in your life. Grab a cup of joe and read on!
A New Way to Brew
French Press: Most people I know that have French Presses swear by them, and will never go back to a regular drip maker. They also look down their nose at a keurig or other single-serving coffee maker. If your coffee lover doesn’t have a French Press yet, it might be something they would enjoy.
Stovetop Espresso Pot: If your coffee drinker is into espresso, I cannot recommend these stovetop pots by Bialetti any higher. We got one for our wedding and we love it. Unfortunately, the company no longer makes our version, but this one is similar. Bialetti really makes a quality product that makes excellent coffee.
Silicon Cup Lids: Why did I not know this was a thing this summer? We spent HOURS outside in the early morning this summer, and I was always swatting bugs away from my coffee. If I had these handy little lids, I could have covered my mug when I went dashing after a kid and kept my java bug free. I love the bright colors and the butterflies are removable if that’s not your thing.
Keurig Reusable Pods: I’ve talked about these reusable pods before but I just love them. The convenience of a keurig is great but the wastefulness really bothers me. I use these almost exclusively now. Using my regular coffee in reusable pods saves me a lot of money too over buying regular k-cups. Just be sure that these pods, or whichever ones you buy, are compatible with the single-serve machine your coffee lover has.
Bean Grinder: Many serious coffee drinkers want to mix their own coffee blend, or they don’t want to grind their beans until they are ready to drink so their coffee is the freshest. A bean grinder is likely on the wish list of the serious coffee consumer.
Thermal Cup: My house never has enough thermal cups. They get left in the car, at work, and who knows where else. Help your caffeine addict keep their beverage hot on the way to work with a great thermal cup.
Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
Your favorite coffee, or coffee from your travels. I think coffee makes a wonderful gift. I love trying new kinds, especially what my friends enjoy. It is helpful to have a sense of what the person likes though. Someone who drinks a french roast black probably won’t be too keen on a mild breakfast blend.
San Francisco Bay OneCup: I’ve talked about these before too, but I love everything about this company. Their coffee is delicious, and their k-cups are more environmentally friendly, making me feel better about the coffee I drink. Plus, they support their community growers and just seem like all around decent people. I don’t get jazzed about brands too often but this one really won my loyalty. I personally like the French Roast but there are several different flavors to choose from.
Gift card to their favorite coffee shop: Some people are opposed to giving gift cards for gifts but I am not one of those people. If I know someone likes a store and will shop there, I think it just makes sense to give them a gift card so they don’t have to pay out their own money.
Any other ideas to get the coffee lovers in your life? If you are a coffee addict, what can’t you live without?
